the first post in English

Getting to know people in other parts of the world requires some changes in my communication pattern, I guess. So, here you go, y'all, my first blog post in English. This won't be very common, after all this is a Swedish priest ranting about her life, church and everything in Sweden, but I figured I could at least throw you guys a little bone...

These English-speaking people - why and who? There's a project called the Young Women Clergy project, for the support of young (or at least young-ish) female clergy, and it's actually open for people from all denominations (although I suspect this means only Christian clergy, correct me if I'm wrong, Susan), and from all parts of the world. So far, I think we're only a handful of people from Europe, but I hope that'll change. So if you know some fabulous female minister or priest, tip her off. There's a link in my sidebar to Fidelia's Sisters, which is the online magazine for this group, full of interesting, sometimes funny and sometimes sad, stories.

Thanks for throwing us a bone, Maria! We've already established that Swedish roots do not translate into Swedish language skills. We are glad you are in the YCW project. When are you going to write an article for Fidelia's Sisters about your experience being a female priest in Europe? Happy Day to you...

Em...well...someday, I promise, I'll give you an article.
I'm also happy to be in the project, it has already given me new friends - lovely! I hope I'll be able to make it to DC in August, it would be great to see you all irl (although I know it's a long way to travel for you as well).
Thanks for commenting! And hey, if you want, we could work on those language skills ;o)
