Only two and a half weeks left until I go to Washington DC and The Young Women's Preacher Conference. In those two weeks I have to write one sermon for Sunday morning, one for Sunday night, another one for Wednesday morning. And one for next Sunday night too. And a shorter one for next Thursday's noon prayer.
And then there are of course the sermons for the conference. One to be finished and one prepped. Those make me really nervous.
Summer is lazy time in the church... Except for worship. Since there are about half as many priests at work as during the other seasons, the other half get to preach a lot. I like it, but it does take a lot of time. And the texts in Summer are...well..not the greatest sometimes.
