Going somewhere, meeting people, almost always result in inspiration. Most of all from the meetings and the people themselves, but sometimes also from new books they tell you about, or new music they want you to listen to...
From America I brought a couple of books and one CD. The Indigo Girls are the heroines of practically all of my colleagues at Preacher Gal Camp, so I bought a CD, and yeah, they are really good.
And now I read Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott, and she is so funny, so open and true. I read passages aloud to my husband, who also laughs. And the journey this woman has made is astounding.
"You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." (from Traveling Mercies)
Yes, inspiration comes in many forms. God is good.
